Dear Ben Platt,
Nobody understands your decision to support a New York City mayoral candidate who wants to “globalize the intifada.” What’s worse, is that no one understands how you can support a candidate who supports those who would murder you, for being a Jew. You’re a prime example of a Kapo, a self-hating Jew.
Ok, let’s face it. You’re running with the delusional Bernie bros. The richest Marxists in America. Those people who believe that their money and fame make them untouchable. Those people who claim to be for the little guy – the underserved, the oppressed, the struggling – as they look down from their penthouse apartments on Park Avenue. As they sit in one of their three homes and go to their concierge doctors and order from Pea Pod to avoid the city-run grocery stores. You think you’re untouchable. So, let’s be honest with each other, because, why not?
The pro-terrorist crowd doesn’t want you for anything more than a vote. They’d put you in a tunnel in Gaza or execute you in the middle of Rafah. Now that you served your purpose and cast your vote for Mamdani, you’re useless to them.
Every Jew must understand that antizionism is antisemitism. Every Jew must understand that living in New York City, where 12 percent of the population is Jewish, where there are more Jews than anywhere in the world other than the Jews’ indigenous homeland of Israel, it is vital to ensure that the city is not run by someone who refuses to condemn calls for the genocide of Jews. Every Jew must understand that when someone doesn’t condemn the phrase “globalize the intifada,” they will not condemn your execution, your murder, your torture, your death.
And then there’s Andrew Cuomo. No, he’s not perfect. But he’s a perfect alternative. He knows how to run a state, so he’ll be able to run a city effectively. He isn’t someone supporting the genocide of any group – oppressed or not. So, while he might not be perfect, he’s more perfect than your guy Mamdani, who has condoned statements calling for the genocide of Jews.
I refuse to give up. The Jews of New York refuse to give up. We will not stand by as Kapos like yourself support a pro-terror extremist. You are thin-skinned. You have the nerve of the privileged who think they are above Jew-hatred. Your pocketbook is so full that you feel guilty not supporting those who “claim” to align, relate to, and support the “underprivileged” when, in fact, Mamdani is just as privileged as you. You might be willing to give up and betray your Jewish roots once and for all. But those to whom you’ve pledged your allegiance will never forget that you’re Jewish.
I’m giving up on people like you. Once and for all, I’m giving up on self-hating Jews who support those who stand with terrorists.
Sincerely, Me
Powerful! And right on.. Thanks Deb,, for speaking your mind!
